Alejandro Ingelmo‘s signature Crosby wedge bootie gets even more luxe next Fall, when it comes lined in mink. “It’s still that downtown feel, but I moved a little bit Upper East Side,” he says of his debut use of fur. Though, “I didn’t stay there too long,” he joked.
He also tried his hand at a pointed toe heel for the first time this season, pairing the look with triple ankle buckles. “I used to not [like the shape], and now, for some reason, I see so much Real Housewives of Atlanta and Beverly Hills, that I’m moving into a different direction.”
And more newness is on the horizon: Ingelmo, who already has a tightly-edited selection of duffels and weekenders available for men, is ready to take on the ladies: “Next season I’m going to be branching out into women’s bags. So I’m going to take a lot of the shapes [I already have] and make them a little bit smaller, keeping the same vibe of what I’m doing. I want to develop a backpack for girls.”
