Though the earthy retailer was once synonymous with sweet cardigans and vintage silhouettes, Anthropologie’s newest shopping platform conjures up an arsenal of new adjectives. Edgy, modern and forward thinking: just some of the words that come to mind when perusing the store’s new Made in Kind collection, comprised of pieces from both established and emerging designers.
Old pros including Gregory Parkinson, Karen Walker and John Patrick join fresh talents like Charlotte Linton, Rachel Rose and Pipit, whose adorable striped smock is pictured left, for a total of 11 collections. Most of the pieces will be available in stores, but you can find everything online starting tomorrow. You’ll find colorful summer frocks and one of a kind jackets, all just a little less sweet than your regular Anthro fare.
But of course, this is Anthropologie we’re talking about, so there will be plenty of other knick-knacks to pick up along the way, including photographs from Koto Bolofo and illustrations by Florence Balducci.
