There are endless fake friends in the worlds of music and fashion, but musician Lissy Trullie (nee Lizzy McChesney) and actress Chloe Sevigny aren’t among them. The two have been longtime buddies (they met nearly a decade ago when both were in a show at American Fine Arts), lending a hand when the other needs help. Trullie served as muse for Sevigny’s pre-spring collection for Opening Ceremony last year, posing in her namesake dress at the presentation, while Sevigny played the role of merch girl in Trullie’s video for “Boy Boy” back in 2009. They’ve partnered up again, this time for Trullie’s latest music video, “It’s Only You, Isn’t It?” The song is off of Trullie’s long-anticipated debut album—which finally comes out on April 10—and features Sevigny as owner of a particularly alluring muscle car. Her screen time is limited—you can’t even tell if that leather and lace combo she’s wearing is one of her own designs—but the role is vital to the story. And she’s not the only famous name who worked on the music video—Jake Sumner (son of Sting and brother to Coco) directed it.
