If anyone’s proven that ‘green‘ doesn’t have to mean crunchy, it’s Christie’s. The house just kicked off its third annual Green Auction with a slew of fashion related items up for grabs. The focus of this year’s auction is oceanic preservation, but the prizes available have absolutely nothing to do with the ocean. Luckily, the money they make off your interest in fashion will go toward something slightly more important.
Options include a day of shopping at Barneys with Simon Doonan (which includes spending a $2,500 gift card and lunching at Fred’s). In the heavy-hitting handbag category there’s a reissued Fendi baguette—which, if you haven’t heard, is so in right now—varying Botkier totes, and a lot of six specially-created Stella McCartney totes. If you’re looking for something more interactive, there’s a private posing and runway walk lesson from budding philanthropist, Coco Rocha, tea with Elettra Wiedemann, or a one-week paid internship in global marketing & communications at DKNY—that’s right, you can pay to be paid for one whole week.
And if fashion doesn’t actually float your boat, there are dozens of other lots, including what’s sure to be an entirely awkward day with Bill Clinton. Happy bidding!
Online lots can be found here, and all are available for bidding until April 19th
