There’s simply no one in fashion as quotable as Karl Lagerfeld. The prolific designer is, at age 78, as successful as one can ever hope to be, so why shouldn’t he speak his mind? Not a week goes by that he doesn’t score a bold headline, whether it’s for calling Adele fat or collaborating with a luxury ice cream company. This week, he’s finally agreed to go where all those who speak unfiltered thoughts belong—on live television.
On June 3rd, the Chanel designer will provide live commentary on the Queen’s 60th Jubilee celebration on France 2. According to WWD, he’ll be joined by two French journalists, but ears will surely be tuned to Lagerfeld’s German accent.
For those without access to French public television, take comfort in the fact that whatever he says will surely make headlines June 4th.
