Lady Gaga’s perfume has been at least two years in the making now—or that’s how long she’s been talking about it publicly, at least. Originally thought to be called Monster, Gaga Tweets that the fragrance will actually be called Fame and is set to hit stores in September.
Although the pop star said in 2010 that the scent would smell like “blood and semen,” she clarifies in a second Tweet of the fragrance’s bottle, that it is a mixture of “tears of Belladonna, crushed heart of Tiger Orchidea with a black veil of incense, pulverized apricot, and the combinative essences of saffron and honey drops.”
The fragrance, shown above, is a black liquid that sprays clear and becomes invisible once airborne. Gaga collaborated on the yet-to-be-seen advertisement with photographer Steven Klein, who directed her “Alejandro” video, and the bottle design with photographer Nick Knight, who directed her “Born This Way” video.
