Linda Evangelista is back in Manhattan’s family court, reportedly asking for $46,000 a month in child support from billionaire and PPR chief François-Henri Pinault for their five-year-old son, Augustin.
A lot of numbers are being thrown around in the courtroom (including the $12 million in a trust set aside for Valentina, Pinault’s 4-year-old daughter with wife Salma Hayek), appropriate for a hearing involving the supermodel who once wouldn’t get out of bed for less than $10,000.
Not long ago, however, she commanded much more than $10,000 for a single runway appearance. Forbes reports that Evangelista told the court: “In 2010 I was asked to walk in Jean Paul Gaultier’s final show for Hermes in Paris. It would have paid close to $100,000.” She turned down the job, she said, because of an early court date for the current child support proceedings. Evangelista last appeared on a runway in July 2007, for Dior couture’s 60th anniversary.
However, the supermodel also told the court that these days, her $1.8 million annual income has decreased dramatically since her L’Oreal Paris contract ended in 2010. “There’s not a lot of demand” for her to work today, WWD reports that she added.
