Madonna’s got a cadre of designer outfits lined up for her new MDNA world tour, kicking off today in Tel Aviv. According to stylist Arianne Phillips, Madonna’s longtime collaborator who oversaw tour wardrobe design, the pop star changes outfits “seven or eight times.” Phillips told WWD: “This show is epic and bigger than anything she’s done before. There are many more costume changes. We’re taking 700 shoes on the road.”
The costume changes include looks from longtime collaborators Jean Paul Gaultier and Jeremy Scott, pieces from Alexander Wang, and shoes from Prada and Miu Miu. Dolce & Gabbana made suits for the band and backup singers, and J Brand provided custom jeans. Madonna will also wear bras, panties, and shoes from her Truth or Dare intimates and footwear collections. And apparently her kids Rocco and Lourdes, will make multiple appearances on stage, in supporting roles.
