One pretty much had to engage in a phsyical fight to see the shoes at J.Crew’s presentation this morning, but once there, it was so worth it.
Turns out those perfect pointy toes didn’t come from J.Crew’s design team, but Manolo Blahnik. The cobbler’s engaged in his first high street collaboration on a collection of pumps hitting J.Crew’s website next fall, according to WWD. If the shoes from the presentation are put into production, it means one will be able to choose from everything from gold glitter to blue floral to turquoise suede, with more practical options like nude and pale pink in between. No word yet on the price point, but if we had to guess we’d say somewhere around $400.
Meanwhile, Coach is continuing their string of fun collaborations by partnering with Anna Sui. The brand asked the designer to reinterpret their classic duffle for fall, and Sui will debut the results during her runway show tomorrow night. She told WWD that her version “adds a boho feeling with Whipstitching, big tassels and appliquéd Art Nouveau dragonflies.” The bags are limited edition and will launch in Coach’s stores next fall.
