Like we mentioned yesterday, Kanye West’s new song is juicy. The first wave of attention came from his not at all subtle proclamation that he’s in love with Kim Kardashian. That went from a song lyric, to a movie date, to a walk of shame within less than 24 hours, so now the Internet needs a new thing to talk about and PETA, as always, is happy to oblige.
In “Theraflu,” West raps, “Tell PETA my mink is draggin’ on the floor.”
So today, PETA took the high road (as if!) and issued a rebuttal, “What’s draggin’ on the floor is Kanye’s reputation as a man with no empathy for animals or human beings. He’s a great musician, but doesn’t seem to have the fashion sense to design anything more than caveman costumes.” (That’s courtesy of their Senior Vice President Dan Mathews.)
Sure, West’s first ready-to-wear collection wasn’t met with rave reviews, but caveman costumes? Not unless the cave man cut his hides with an eye for sex appeal. Seriously though, we look forward to a long and hilarious public fight between these two.
