Over the weekend in Milan, Sergio Rossi debuted a short film, Skin to Skin, done in collaboration with I Am Love director Luca Guadagnino. A minimally-clothed Diana Dondoe — chosen by Sergio Rossi designer Francesco Russo for her “sculptural body” and “piercing glance” — stars, showcasing the brand’s primitive-cum-futuristic Fall 2012 collection of lace-up bondage heels, safety-pinned python pumps, and skin-tight thigh-high boots.
“It’s the history of this woman, her relationship with objects and her psychological metamorphosis,” Russo explained of the film. “When a woman wears high heels she is different. There is a carnal relation between shoes and women.” Guadagino, meanwhile, said that he had the 1975 Barbet Schroeder movie Maitresse in mind. Video after the jump.
