Next time you invite rag & bone‘s David Neville to an event, don’t be surprised if he bursts into song. This past weekend, he and Marcus Wainwright popped down to Charleston to celebrate the fifth anniversary of Hampden boutique. The designers re-staged their spring runway show, indulged in a bit of BBQ and, in the case of Neville, really let go. “I sang a rendition of “American Pie” prior to the show and I’m not much of a singer, so that was unexpected,” the designer said.
Other than that, the welcoming atmosphere sounds like the highlight of the trip. “The southern hospitality was overwhelming!” the team said. As for why Charleston, Wainwright added, “Hampden has been a supporter of rag & bone from the beginning, it seemed fitting to celebrate their five year anniversary with them, and to return the favor and show them our support.”
