Net-a-porter published its spring A-Z magazine yesterday and for ‘B’, they’ve listed a surprising trend: wearing two of the same bag.
They write, “Behold the new twinset. Matching mini and maxi bags are big news, and the coolest way to wear them is both together! Stock up on your favorite styles in coordinating colors and fabrics now.” Next to the caption they picture two watermelon colored PS1s—one medium and one large, since Proenza Schouler doesn’t make mini-PS1s—and we can’t possibly imagine wearing them together.
Brands like Miu Miu and Mulberry actually do make miniature versions of their most popular bags like the Mattelassé and the Alexa, respectively, but they’re not exactly cheap and you’ll need a regular sized one to actually hold anything more than lipstick and a credit card…right?
We haven’t seen this on the runway—or in person—but if Net-a-porter says its so, it must be happening somewhere. Will you give this a shot come spring? Or are you already sporting two of the same?
